As a Design Manager, you'll support the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development and concept design through to construction and commissioning. You will coordinate both internal and external design teams to deliver buildable, compliant and cost-effective solutions aligned with client objectives and project performance targets.

The Role:

Oversee the technical journey from initial development through to delivery.
Provide technical support throughout construction and commissioning.
Manage internal design resources and external consultants.
Coordinate design programmes and maintain accurate project documentation.
Ensure designs align with scope, budget and governance requirements.
Review consultant deliverables and evaluate options for safety, cost and buildability.

The Person :

Experienced in M&E design within a project delivery environment.
Strong technical background in large-scale heating and energy systems.
Able to lead and coordinate a small technical team.
Knowledge of planning, building control, permitting, fire and electrical compliance.
Familiar with energy-saving technologies such as fabric upgrades, solar PV, LED lighting, fans and BMS improvements.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
