We are seeking a Senior Design Manager to join our client's team Infrastructure division in their London office on a permanent basis.
You will begin on a major highways scheme in the South of England before moving on to newly secured projects across the region.
Responsibilities:

* You'll manage the full design lifecycle, from tender support through construction to handover.

* Leading design reviews, progress meetings, and technical workshops with stakeholders, clients, and delivery teams.

* Managing internal and external design partners, ensuring smooth communication between engineering teams, consultants, and construction teams.

* Reviewing and challenging design information to ensure buildability, cost‑effectiveness, and alignment with project requirements.

* Overseeing design risk management, including identifying potential issues early and driving mitigation strategies.
Requirements:

* Strong civils or infrastructure experience, gained either with a consultancy or a main contractor.

* Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or similar)

* Experience on civil engineering or major infrastructure projects

* Highways experience (advantageous)

* Background in Design Management

* Strong understanding of construction processes and standards
