We are seeking a Senior Security Systems Engineer to join the HS2 Rail Systems Telecoms Engineering team. This is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role responsible for providing technical expertise and support across multiple HS2 packages in relation to physical security systems. You will play a critical part in the delivery of one of the largest and most complex security systems in the UK, ensuring the successful integration of systems across the project.

Essential Requirements:

· Experience delivering projects on major infrastructure programmes including design management, interface management, and risk management.

· Strong understanding of physical security systems including video surveillance, access control, and intruder detection etc.

· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

· Good understanding of commercial principles, contract management, and scope change.
Experience in project delivery processes, including design management, interface management, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide technical and design assurance for physical security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder detection).

· Manage requirements and oversee system integration across multiple contractors.

· Support delivery through construction, testing, and commissioning.

· Manage interfaces, scope control, and stakeholder engagement.

· Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to multiple HS2 packages and helping to resolve technical issues or disagreements.
