Location: South East London

Our client, a prominent name in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team in London. This permanent role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and manage electrical engineering projects and teams, being based at their Elephant and Castle office three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertaking the CEM and/or CRE role
Deputising for the Associate Director as required
Developing design from feasibility up to As Built
Carrying out design reviews and working to design assurance processes
Helping to grow the team and developing its technical capability
Leading and managing a small team of engineers
Mentoring others in CRE roles, and providing discipline training
Nurturing a 'get it right first time' culture within the team
Producing and issuing progress reports
Preparing and conducting presentations to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders

Job Requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering
Member of an engineering institute with Engineering Council Professional Registration

Experience of undertaking the CEM/CRE/DPE role
Experience in managing works in accordance with
-L2-RSE-02009, Engineering Management of Projects
Experience in rail station electrical services design and coordination
Comprehensive knowledge of British Standards and Rail Standards (e.g., Network Rail, HS2, TfL)
Ability to deliver work to a programme and budget
Excellent leadership skills and mentoring experience
Proficient in leading meetings and presenting to various stakeholders
Deep understanding of electrical systems from technical, design, installation, buildability, and maintenance perspectives
Knowledge of engineering software tools (e.g., Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or Relux)
Knowledge of procurement activities and lead times
Right to work in the UK
