Due to recent changes a magnificent opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer (PPAP Specialist) to join a leading manufacturer of plastic parts has become available. A fantastic chance to join a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative plastic solutions for residential, commercial and industrial markets worldwide.

You will be responsible for implementing PPAP activities across the company. Preparing PPAPs for parts validation and working with and approving Supplier PPAPs will be the main focus of the role and we welcome candidates from Automotive or in some exceptions Aerospace sector only.

MAIN TASKS
  • Lead and Manage PPAP submissions for NPI, engineering changes, supplier parts, ensure compliance with customer and AIAG requirements
  • Prepare, review, and approve PPAP documents, including Process Flow, Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, dimensional layouts, material certificates, MSA, and capabilities studies.
  • Maintain PPAP records and customer communications, managing revisions, tracking approval status, responding to customer feedback, and ensuring documentation is up to date.
  • Quality contact and customer interface for the assigned projects.
  • Actively promote tasks towards successful PPAP submissions.
  • Support customer and internal meetings to share development status and report inwardly the customer requirements.
  • Cross functionally works with internal departments (Sales, QA, Engineering and Production) to ensure elements are covered and cleared to agreed timescales.
  • Work with Quality Management to develop, write, promote new and enhance existing Processes, Plans and Procedures.
  • Interpret and communicate customer requirements within the business.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • To be able to understand and work with technical drawings, as well as dimensionally measuring parts with Non-Contact or Contact measurement equipment. (required)
  • Good understanding in APQP / PPAP and associated tools (required)
  • GD&T Knowledge and Expertise (required)
  • Good understanding of preparation of Control Plan, FMEA and all relevant PPAP documentation (required)
  • Automotive experience in preparation of PPAP/APQP documentation (optional)
  • Previous automotive working experience with plastic or metal parts (advantage)
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
  • Excellent reporting skills and clear communication
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Office
