Mechanical Supervisor – FM & Building Maintenance

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a large university hospital in South London on a temp-to-perm basis. This role sits within a hard FM contract, overseeing mechanical maintenance across a complex and critical healthcare estate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to secure a long-term, permanent position following an initial temporary period.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise a team of mechanical engineers within a busy FM environment

* Oversee PPM and reactive maintenance across HVAC, boilers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, heating and domestic water systems

* Ensure full compliance with HTM standards and statutory regulations

* Manage subcontractors and specialist providers

* Issue and control permits to work and RAMS

* Support minor works and lifecycle projects

* Maintain compliance documentation via CAFM systems

* Act as the key mechanical point of contact for site stakeholders

About You

* Strong background in FM and building maintenance

* Previous experience as a Supervisor or Lead Engineer

* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in a Mechanical discipline

* Experience with in healthcare or critical environments (desirable)

* Knowledge of HTM and L8 compliance (advantageous)

* Confident managing teams and client relationships
