About the Role:
Are you a motivated Structural Engineer looking to accelerate your career in a dynamic consultancy environment? Join a forward-thinking design team in our Central London office, working on diverse projects across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors. You’ll gain hands-on experience in structural design, calculations, and site inspections while working towards your Chartership (IStruct
E/ICE) with dedicated mentorship and CPD support.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply and develop your knowledge of structural analysis and design using concrete, steel, masonry, timber, and other common engineering materials.
Prepare design calculations, drawings, and reports under the supervision of Senior Engineers.
Apply Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM Regulations, and other relevant design codes.
Support Senior Engineers throughout project life cycles, from commencement to completion.
Produce clear hand-drawn sketches and annotated drawings.
Undertake site inspections under supervision as required.
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other construction professionals.
Attend project meetings with senior colleagues.
Maintain CPD/IPD requirements for Graduate Membership of the IStruct
E/ICE.
Work towards Chartership with structured mentor support.
Essential
Skills & Experience:
BEng/MEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline from a JBM-accredited course.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a consultancy practice preferred.
Strong structural analysis skills and knowledge of Eurocodes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, and Bluebeam.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
