The Graduate Façade / External Walls Engineer supports the delivery of façade engineering and external wall fire consultancy services under the supervision of senior engineers. The role provides structured exposure to façade systems, external wall fire performance, and building envelope design, with an emphasis on developing core engineering skills across structural, thermal, and fire performance disciplines.

The Graduate will contribute to technical delivery while developing the judgement, competence, and professional behaviours required to progress within either the façade design or external wall consultancy pathways.

• Support the review of architectural drawings, specifications, and technical information relating to façade and external wall systems.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, including external wall fire assessment reports, façade engineering notes, and supporting appendices.
• Support external wall fire safety assessments, including PAS 9980–led appraisals and related desktop studies.
• Participate in site inspections and intrusive surveys to establish external wall and façade build‑ups, materials, fixings, and fire stopping provisions.
• Assist with thermal engineering tasks, including thermal bridging reviews, U‑value assessments, condensation risk inputs, and interpretation of modelling outputs under supervision.
