Apprentice CAD Operator

Gratte Brothers | Design & Coordination is currently recruiting for an Apprentice CAD Operator to join their team based in King’s Cross, London.

This exciting opportunity would be ideal for someone looking to start their career in Design & Coordination as the role will offer substantial training and development. As an Apprentice CAD Operator, you will play a crucial role within our CAD team, contributing to the creation of high-quality structural designs and building services drawings. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with experienced Senior Managers, leveraging their extensive industry experience to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Your practical knowledge will be bolstered by attending a day release college course.

The purpose of the role will be to work closely within the Computer-Aided (CAD) team to prepare building services drawings for engineering and site operative use. You will work with marked-up drawings and produce revised drawings in both 2D and 3D format. During the apprenticeship, you will develop a skillset in the use of CAD programmes including (but not limited to) Autocad, Revit and Navis.

Through the use of these programmes, you will enable the use of visualisation and data management tools to produce coordinated installation drawings within a Building Information Management (BIM) environment.

The ideal candidate will need to be proactive, ambitious and keen to learn. This role is a vital part of the team, so the candidate will need to be approachable and friendly with a professional attitude.
