I am working with a UK-based team of transport planners and engineers that supports clients in advancing sustainable mobility and energy transitions to help address the impacts of climate change. The organisation foster a collaborative environment where professionals can thrive, while also benefiting from the expertise and placemaking insights of colleagues in the Netherlands.
They are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate to join their Major Infrastructure Planning practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a capable professional with a strong background in project and programme management, and proven success in securing and managing Major Infrastructure consents and compliance. In this role, you will provide both technical leadership and project management support across a variety of multidisciplinary projects.
You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining strong client relationships, supporting existing work streams, and identifying opportunities for growth within the sector.
- Bring consultancy experience with a proven track record in the DCO/NSIP planning process, including delivery of consents and compliance.
- Demonstrate expertise in project and programme management, including complex multi-package programmes.
- Possess strong technical skills in highways, transport, and traffic management, with a detailed understanding of highway design principles and technical approvals.
- Have experience in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to turn dialogue and feedback into tangible project outcomes.
- Show a solid understanding of UK transport policy and current sector issues.
- Maintain and grow relationships with public and private sector clients, while identifying new business opportunities.
- Hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification such as Chartered Engineer or TPP (or equivalent).
- Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and through other formats to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Participating in professional associations, working groups, or industry forums.
- Sharing expertise through speaking engagements, publications, or thought leadership.
- Staying informed on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Supporting the development of standards and contributing to policy discussions.
Mentoring peers and early-career professionals.
