Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer - Hospital Maintenance (Steam & Pressure Systems)
£30 per hour | Start ASAP | Basic DBS Required

A leading mechanical and plumbing contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work at Hospital near London Bridge. This is an ASAP start, initially for 3 months, with strong potential for ongoing work.
This role requires a strong background in steam and pressure systems, as well as experience working with industrial boilers, chilled water systems, AHUs, and HVAC systems. A thorough understanding of all listed systems is critical.

Hours:

8am-5pm (8 hours working, 1 hrs unpaid break)
Rate: £30 per hour

Duties will include:

Maintenance and remedial works on steam and pressure systems
Working on industrial boilers and associated plant
Maintenance of chilled water systems
AHU and HVAC system maintenance and fault finding
General mechanical maintenance within a live hospital environment
Pipework repairs, valve replacements, and system components servicing
Ensuring compliance with site safety and hospital regulations

To be considered, you will need:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer working with steam, boilers, and pressure systems
Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, AHUs, and HVAC systems

Experience with in hospital or critical environments preferred
Valid Basic DBS (essential)
Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
Own tools and full PPE
CSCS card preferred
