Location: South East London

Isle of Wight | 5 days per week (flexible working pattern) | Inside IR35 | ASAP start End of March We are urgently recruiting for an experienced Principal Maintenance Manager with a strong Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) / Energy from Waste (EfW) background to support a high-risk, process-intensive site on the Isle of Wight. Due to the urgency and scope of the requirement, we are open to engaging either one highly experienced individual or two specialists to ensure full coverage across Maintenance, ERF operations and HSEQ.

The Role This is a senior leadership position responsible for the safe, effective and efficient delivery of all maintenance activity across site. The successful candidate will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, asset reliability, lifecycle planning and statutory compliance within a regulated environment

Job Description - Principal Mai . You will play a key role in ensuring plant availability, operational continuity and strong safety performance across engineering and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities Maintenance Strategy & Delivery Lead all preventative and reactive maintenance activities Ensure effective use of CMMS systems (e.g. Pirana) Manage statutory inspection regimes (LOLER, PSSR, PUWER) Plan and deliver shutdowns and programmed outages Asset & Process Reliability Maintain robust preventative maintenance schedules Lead root cause analysis and asset failure investigations Oversee engineering change and technical governance Financial & Commercial Management Manage and report against annual maintenance budgets Lead lifecycle (non-routine) maintenance planning Oversee procurement, stock control and contractor management Health, Safety & Compliance Act as Confined Space Responsible Person Promote strong contractor control and safety culture Lead incident investigations and corrective actions Essential Requirements Proven ERF / Energy from Waste experience (essential) Ability to provide cover across Maintenance, ERF operations and HSEQ HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
