An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a well-established design consultancy in London.
This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of development and infrastructure projects, delivering high-quality highways and drainage designs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes.
You will join a collaborative and technically strong team, contributing to projects from concept through to construction while helping to mentor junior engineers and support the continued growth of the team.
The Role of Senior Civil Engineer;
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead the design and coordination of development infrastructure, with a focus on highways and drainage. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and local authorities to deliver practical and innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities of this Senior Civil Engineer role;
Design and delivery of highways and drainage infrastructure for development projects
Preparation of drainage strategies and detailed drainage designs
Design of adoptable highways in accordance with Section 38 and Section 278 agreements
Preparation of technical reports, design calculations, and project documentation
Liaison with clients, architects, local authorities, and other stakeholders
Use of industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Micro Drainage/Info Drainage
Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team About You
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Working towards or already Chartered (ICE)
Strong experience in highways and drainage design within a consultancy environment
Good understanding of UK design standards and approvals processes
Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills
