Senior Design Manager – Tier 1 Main Contractor

West London

£80,000 – £100,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Bonus + Package

We’re working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to appoint 2x Senior Design Managers on flagship new build data centre projects, one in West London, the other in East London

This is a high-profile, technically complex scheme, offering the opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure within one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction.

You will lead the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, ensuring coordination across all disciplines and driving technical excellence on site.

• Lead and manage the full design lifecycle across all RIBA stages
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors,
  particular focus on the M&E subcontractors
• Drive design programme, information release schedules, and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, building regulations, and technical standards
• Oversee design reviews, value engineering, and buildability input
• Work closely with delivery and commercial teams to ensure successful project outcomes

• Complex MEP and infrastructure-heavy scheme

• Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager with a Tier 1 or leading contractor
• Strong background delivering large-scale, technically complex projects (data centres, commercial, or infrastructure )
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of MEP integration and design management processes

• £80k – £100k salary + comprehensive package
