Radio Frequency Engineer

RF Design Engineer (Electronics / GPS Focus) Leicester (Onsite) £50, We are working with a global technology-led organisation delivering advanced monitoring and security solutions, seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a high-impact product development role , where you will play a key part in designing and developing RF-based embedded hardware , with a particular focus on low-power wireless and GPS technologies .

The Role You'll be responsible for the design, development and testing of RF electronics across both existing products and next-generation solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

Designing and developing RF embedded hardware for wireless devices Working across the full lifecycle: concept ? design ? test ? approval Developing solutions focused on low-power, microcontroller-driven systems Supporting RF testing, simulation, and performance optimisation Collaborating with firmware, production and wider engineering teams Ensuring designs meet regulatory and approval requirements Supporting manufacturing, testing and product release This is a technically demanding role - strong RF experience is essential.

Must-have:
Proven experience in RF electronics design in a commercial environment Strong knowledge of low-power wireless systems and/or GPS technologies (critical - key gap in previous candidates)

Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers Solid understanding of RF simulation, testing and validation

Experience with PCB design tools (Altium preferred) Strong fundamentals across electronics and hardware engineering Nice to have:
Embedded C / firmware exposure Experience in high-volume product development Familiarity with regulatory/type approval processes
