Civil Engineer - London
Emtech Recruitment is working with a well-established and highly respected engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer with relevant post-graduate experience to join its growing London team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the commercial, retail, residential, and industrial sectors, contributing to the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions for a wide variety of clients.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and statutory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Design infrastructure solutions for commercial, retail, residential, and industrial developments, including SuDS drainage systems and highways designed to adoptable and DMRB standards.
Liaise with statutory bodies, including water authorities, highways departments, and local drainage authorities.
Produce technical designs using industry-standard software such as Site 3D, Civil 3D, Micro Drainage, Causeway Flow, and AutoCAD.
Attend design meetings, site meetings, and undertake site inspections as required.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other consultants, providing technical advice and guidance where necessary.
Deliver projects in line with agreed budgets, programmes, and quality standards.
Requirements
Master's Degree or BEng in Civil Engineering.
Relevant post-graduate experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment.
Experience in infrastructure and drainage design for development projects.
Proficiency in relevant civil engineering design software.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
