Senior Engineer – Underground Structures & Tunnelling

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to support the technical delivery of underground infrastructure and tunnelling projects from our London office.

The role will involve the design and delivery of geotechnical and structural engineering solutions including tunnels, shafts, retaining structures, foundations, and temporary works. You will work closely with Project Leads while supporting junior team members and contributing to project planning, design assurance, and client engagement activities.

• Deliver geotechnical and structural designs for underground and infrastructure projects
• Produce calculations, reports, specifications, and technical drawings
• Support project planning, scheduling, and technical coordination
• Undertake engineering analysis and design using relevant software tools
• Participate in technical reviews and design assurance activities
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Mentor Graduate Engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team
• Support commercial and project delivery activities

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure, tunnelling, or underground engineering projects
• Experience in geotechnical, structural, or temporary works design
• Working knowledge of Eurocodes and CDM requirements
• Proficiency in relevant engineering analysis/design software
• Strong communication and technical reporting skills
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership preferred
