Mechanical Estimator

GoFind Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a leading provider of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering solutions across a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding team, based within the North West with their head offices in Blackpool.

The Role As a Mechanical Estimator, you will provide detailed costs plans based upon conceptual documents as well as schematic, design development and construction documents, from all sectors of work ranging from £100k – £10m M&E packages. Working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams, you will play a key role in securing and supporting successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong estimating experience within mechanical or MEP environments looking to join a growing and forward-thinking business.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) Preparing detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation Producing accurate take-offs for mechanical works including HVAC, pipework, and plumbing systems Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations Identifying project risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the tender process Assisting with value engineering exercises and commercial negotiations Supporting smooth handovers to project delivery teams following successful tenders Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market pricing and industry trends Requirements Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within construction, M&E, or building services Will have previous experience working with commercial projects.

Will have experience with a Mechanical Sub contractor Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial skills Experience preparing tenders for mechanical projects Strong communication and organisational abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software Full UK driving licence preferred What’s on Offer Salary between £55,000 – £65,000 depending on experience Opportunity to work with a respected and growing engineering business Nationwide project exposure Career progression opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment Company benefits package What next?
