The Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead Engineer to oversee mechanical maintenance operations at a prestigious commercial site near Liverpool Street. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring all mechanical systems are maintained to the highest standard while overseeing a team of 3 engineers delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across the site.

Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and support a team of 3 engineers on-site Oversee daily mechanical maintenance operations across the building Carry out and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works Maintain and fault-find on mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, pipework, and associated plant Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site regulations Coordinate subcontractors and specialist service providers on-site Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities for improvement Complete maintenance reports, logbooks, and documentation accurately Act as a key point of contact for the client and site management team About You Strong mechanical engineering background within commercial building maintenance Relevant mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) Previous experience leading or supervising engineering teams Good knowledge of HVAC and building services systems Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Professional and client-facing approach Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively Whats on Offer Salary of £53,000 Opportunity to work at a high-profile London site Career progression and ongoing training
