Estimating Apprentice - Building Services Engineering

Salary: £25,000 | Hybrid Working

Are you looking to start your career within the Engineering sector and build a successful long‑term future in the world of estimating with an award-winning group? We are looking for a motivated, organised, and detail‑focused Estimating Apprentice to join our team and develop a career in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering.

Working alongside experienced estimators, you will gain hands‑on experience in pricing projects, reading technical drawings and specifications, attending client meetings, and supporting live tenders across exciting building services projects. You will also be attending a Level 3 course once a week at London South for 32 months.

• Learning all aspects of M&E estimating
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Measuring and quantifying from design drawings
• Using estimating software (Amtech Estimation)
• Supporting tender submissions and project pricing
• Attending site surveys and client meetings
• Liaising with supply chain partners and internal teams
• Managing deadlines and prioritising workloads

• A passion for estimating or engineering
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  
  Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong relationship‑building and teamwork abilities
  
  GCSE Maths & English Grades 6-9 preferred, along with strong A‑Level results

• 37.5‑hour working week with a 4:00pm finish on Fridays
