Head of Datacentre Design

Head of Design | Data centres | Mission Critical Infrastructure | MEP Engineering £100,000 £ 120,000  Bonus  Equity London | Hybrid We're hiring a Head of Design for a fast growing data centre developer backed by a major energy provider. With multiple operational sites across the UK and international expansion underway, this is an opportunity to lead design governance and shape the technical standards behind a next generation data centre platform.

The role Own and develop data centre design standards and reference architecture Lead technical review and sign off of consultant and contractor designs Oversee M&E design across critical power, cooling, resilience and heat recovery systems Support projects through design, construction, commissioning and handover Manage relationships with architects, MEP consultants and design build contractors Ensure designs meet performance, resilience, sustainability and HPC requirements What we're looking for 7 years' experience within data centres, mission critical facilities, energy, utilities or major infrastructure projects Strong Mechanical and Electrical engineering expertise Experience acting as a technical authority overseeing third party design delivery Experience delivering complex engineering projects through commissioning Background as a Head of Design, Design Manager, Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer or similar leadership role Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering

Desirable Experience with HPC, AI infrastructure or high density cooling environments Knowledge of heat reuse, district heating or thermal networks Experience developing design standards across multiple sites, regions or countries This opportunity offers significant influence, international exposure and the chance to build and scale a design function within one of the fastest growing areas of digital infrastructure.
