We are seeking an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join our growing, dynamic consultancy. At Simpson TWS, you will be part of a highly regarded Civil and Structural team in London, delivering a diverse portfolio of exciting projects across multiple sectors, scales, and materials.
In this role, you will play a key part in leading projects from concept to construction, ensuring excellence in technical delivery, programme management, commercial performance, and client satisfaction. You will also support the leadership and management of the Structures group, driving efficient resource use, maintaining high technical standards, and delivering projects profitably and on schedule.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in existing building refurbishment and Building Safety Cases, alongside confidence in new-build concrete design.
As a client-facing professional, you will build and strengthen relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and key stakeholders, while contributing to business development through proposals, bids, networking, and long-term client growth.
This is a varied and influential role where you will contribute to business initiatives, innovation, and technical development. As part of a small, agile organisation, we are looking for a proactive, versatile self-starter eager to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent)
- Chartered Engineer with IStruct
E or ICE - Experience leading project teams and managing technical delivery
- Strong understanding of structural design, coordination, and project management
- Commercial awareness with experience supporting project financial performance
- Confident communicator, comfortable managing client and stakeholder relationships
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers and technicians
- Interested in contributing to business development and growing client relationships
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- The ability to design to British Standards or Eurocodes. Working knowledge of BS8110, beneficial
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, ETABS, Robot, Revit)
