Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading European engineering and construction contractor delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a flagship project team in Zurich.
Mechanical Engineer Requirements:
 
* Minimum 5 years' experience with a recognised Mechanical/Electrical contractor.
 
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems delivery within large-scale construction projects.
 
* Experience with BIM/CAD processes and familiarity with Primavera or other project planning software.
 
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
 
* Strong IT skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
 
* Knowledge of modular construction is advantageous.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
 
* Coordinate mechanical engineering activities from design through installation and handover.
 
* Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
 
* Review IFC drawings and specifications, manage RFIs and technical queries, and support BIM coordination.
 
* Monitor site safety, quality, programme and procurement activities.
 
* Manage subcontractors, material schedules and engineering deliverables.
 
* Support QA processes, validation, commissioning and project close-out documentation.
 
* Prepare technical submittals, assess supplier proposals and track project progress and costs.
 
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
