This Senior Quality Engineer role offers the opportunity to step into a position with immediate ownership, joining a technically strong business where quality sits at the centre of product delivery. You’ll work across design, engineering and operations teams to ensure products meet both customer and regulatory expectations, with a particular focus on automotive standards. It’s a role suited to someone who can come in and make an impact from day one.
The position is offered on a hybrid basis (typically 3 days on-site), with a preference for candidates based in or able to commute to Oxford.
Our client is a growing semiconductor design and manufacturing company delivering complex ASIC solutions across multiple industries. As the business continues to scale, they are strengthening their quality function with someone who can take ownership of key processes and support ongoing improvement.
Reporting to the Head of Quality & Compliance, the Senior Quality Engineer will lead quality activities across the full product lifecycle, ensuring compliance, supporting customers, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include- Leading quality activities across product development and delivery
- Managing APQP processes and PPAP submissions for automotive customers
- Conducting internal audits in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions
- Preparing customer‑facing reports and supporting audit activities
- Driving continuous improvement across quality and environmental processes
- Experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or semiconductor environment
- Strong exposure to automotive quality standards and processes (APQP, PPAP, VDA)
- Ability to work independently and step into an established role with minimal ramp‑up
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
- Familiarity with quality systems and audit processes
