At WSP we seek graduates who are eager to learn, flexible, and ready to make a difference in the built environment. The 2026 Graduate Programme in Planning Consultancy & Infrastructure Planning offers a two‑year development path.
LocationPlanning Consultancy – London
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Varied workload across multiple sectors
- Undertake planning appraisals and draft planning documents
- Project‑manage and lead smaller projects from day one
- Work as part of teams on larger projects
- Manage environmental teams
- Submit and manage planning applications and appeals
- Manage project budgets
You will join an enthusiastic and supportive team, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with colleagues and adapting to dynamic project environments.
Graduate Development ProgrammeThe two‑year Graduate Development Programme supports personal and professional growth through blended learning, core business and professional skill training, workshops, networking, mentoring for professional registration, and on‑the‑job experience.
Qualifications & Selection Criteria- Graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master’s degree (RTPI accredited) relevant to the role
- Must complete the application form in full; successful applicants will complete an online skill enabler assessment
- Will start work in September 2026
- Passion for Planning & consulting, and interest in the built environment, infrastructure, places, and economy
- Enthusiasm for creativity and problem solving
- Willingness to share new ideas and inspire colleagues
