Building Physics Engineer

My client is seeking a talented and motivated Building Physics Engineer to join their dynamic team. • Running energy and thermal performance simulations to evaluate building designs.
• Collaborating with architects and engineers to optimize building performance.
• Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Reviewing project designs to ensure compliance with sustainability standards and regulations.
• Contributing to BREEAM assessments, including gathering evidence and supporting documentation.
• Staying up‑to‑date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in building performance and sustainability.

• Conducting building physics analysis, including energy modelling, thermal performance, and daylight assessments.
• Supporting design teams with performance‑driven strategies to enhance building efficiency and occupant comfort.
• Utilizing simulation tools to inform early‑stage and detailed design decisions.
• Providing input into BREEAM assessments, ensuring designs align with required credits and sustainability goals.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and clients across a variety of projects to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

• A strong background in building physics, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in building performance modelling using tools such as IES, TAS, Rhino, Design Builder, etc.
• A solid understanding of UK building regulations and energy compliance requirements.
• Awareness of BREEAM, with either hands‑on project experience or strong theoretical knowledge.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate technical data effectively.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.

• Experience contributing to BREEAM assessments.
• BREEAM Assessor qualification.
• Experience working across various project stages, from concept design to delivery.
