Project Controls Manager – Critical Infrastructure Projects in AWS Infrastructure Services
Responsibilities include planning, monitoring, and reporting on project performance to ensure scope, schedule, cost, and resource objectives are met while providing data‑driven insight, forecasting, and governance for effective decision‑making across complex capital projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Develop high‑level operational plans with stakeholder teams specifying scope delivery, schedule, resource, and budget requirements extending 12‑18 months.
- Standardize process, tooling, data, and reporting requirements for measuring key portfolio performance indices.
- Standardize program planning data: scope definition, cost and labor estimates, and schedule estimates for existing and new programs.
- Design and implement enhanced cost and labor estimating mechanisms incorporating actual performance data into estimate iterations via automated feedback loops.
- Create and manage goals in safety, quality, team productivity, vendor performance, and cost control.
- Produce accurate and timely reporting on portfolio status for business and finance partners.
- Plan and host value stream mapping events with key stakeholders to measure throughput, identify inefficiencies, determine root causes, and develop solutions to optimize processes.
- Gather feedback from internal customers and stakeholders to drive portfolio and program improvements.
- Apply change, risk, and resource management to adapt to evolving organizational demands.
- Develop new programs to support strategic direction of the team with organizational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
- Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
- Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
- Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains.
