• Work in a range of sectors from residential buildings through to rail transportation or new energy facilities.
• Manage multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards and codes.
• Support the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets.
• Keep up to date with regulations and legislation.
• Develop fire engineering solutions on projects and ensure the fire engineering strategy is delivered.
• Assess fire related risks in projects and work collaboratively to mitigate where possible.
• Review and comment on the quality of fire safety related installations.
• Undertake tenders for new work.
• Prepare reports, take part in design team meetings, and liaise with client representatives as required.

• Engineering degree, preferably fire engineering or a postgraduate qualification in fire engineering (alternative backgrounds considered).
• Demonstrated record of successfully delivering fire safety projects; experience in other sectors strongly considered.
• Experience working with fire standards including BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545; fire modelling experience beneficial.
• Experience outside the building sector advantageous.
• Ability to work towards Chartered Fire Engineer status.
• Flexible approach to the working environment; willingness to travel is an advantage.
• Good commercial awareness and customer focused attitude.
• Ability to collate information and follow a clear, structured approach to report writing.

This role may require security clearance; offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. Vetting will be conducted by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of residency in the UK of five years or longer.
