You will help shape and deliver geo‑environmental investigations from desk study through to interpretation and reporting. Working across site and office locations, you will support the design, procurement, supervision and management of ground investigations, undertake desktop assessments, collect and interpret site data, produce clear technical reports, and carry out groundwater and ground gas monitoring and assessment. Your contribution will directly support sustainable development, risk management and environmental improvement on a wide range of complex sites.

Strong geo‑environmental knowledge, experience in contaminated land investigation and assessment, and current standards and guidance. Experience in environmental due diligence would also be an advantage.

  • Site Investigation & Supervision

Confidence in managing and supervising ground investigation works on site, including groundwater and ground gas monitoring, with a strong focus on quality and delivery.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting

Comfortable collecting, analysing and interpreting site data, and producing Phase 1 geo‑environmental desk studies, preliminary risk assessments and Phase 2 interpretative reports.

  • Communication & Collaboration

Clear verbal and written communication, strong presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors.

  • Initiative & Professionalism

Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently while maintaining high standards in health, safety and environmental management.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

2–5 years’ experience in a similar role and a degree in geology, engineering geology, environmental science or a related subject. A full manual driving licence is required. Site accreditations such as SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS or First Aid would be beneficial.
