Primary Location

Design Manager – Water Solutions, based in our England & Wales offices. Lead multidisciplinary design teams through the full life cycle of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, from feasibility to construction and asset management.
- Lead
:
Drive technical delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure / treatment projects; manage multi‑disciplinary technical teams to deliver value added solutions. - Manage

Oversee key packages from conception to handover, interfacing with AECOM teams, clients and suppliers to create a seamless technical solution. - Collaborate
:
Work closely with clients and AECOM partners to ensure stakeholder buy‑in, and contribute to AECOM’s wider technical capability. - Develop
:
Perform line manager duties, support development of junior team members, manage their input to projects and mentor them. - Support part‑time opportunities for additional team responsibilities, including managing and developing our Water teams in England & Wales, and driving AECOM’s culture, values and quality.
- Experience managing technical delivery of water and wastewater engineering projects with multi‑disciplinary knowledge, including treatment schemes and/or pipeline design.
- Relevant experience in a similar role for a water company, consultancy or contractor.
- Hands‑on experience designing complex wastewater treatment solutions.
- Degree or equivalent in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- Chartered or Incorporated status (ICE, CIWEM) or working towards it.
- Experience in feasibility studies, options appraisal, concept design, outline and detailed design for water company clients and design‑and‑build contractors.
