Requirements- We require extensive experience in mobile network performance, with a focus on high-availability systems.
- We require proven expertise in UE log analysis, 5G investigations, and parameter optimisation.
- We require a deep understanding of 4G and 5G network architecture, protocols, and vendor equipment, with Nokia and Ericsson preferred.
- We require experience using Wireshark, TEMS, Accuver, and protocol trace analysis tools.
- We require strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
- We require experience working with third-party suppliers and managing technical relationships.
- We require knowledge of LTE parameters, timers, and Public Safety network functionalities.
- We require relevant technical qualifications in telecommunications or a related field.
- Industry certifications in network performance or optimisation are advantageous.
- We analyse UE logs and end-to-end traces for 5G and 5G+ networks to identify performance issues.
- We develop and execute optimisation trials with vendors, including Nokia and Ericsson, and assess outcomes and impact.
- We validate 5G and interworking design, ensuring seamless integration of 4G, 5G SA, NSA, and Public Safety features.
- We conduct root cause analysis using drive test logs, protocol traces, and network data sources.
- We collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement performance improvements.
- We lead investigations into system issues within the ESN service and provide actionable insights.
- We drive continuous enhancement of network KPIs to ensure an optimal customer experience.

We are a leading organisation in telecommunications, hiring a talented 5G RAN Parameter Optimisation Specialist to support our Public Safety Network. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in London or Bristol, working in a hybrid arrangement with three days per week on-site. The role requires a BPSS check and is available on an umbrella-only basis. You will join a dynamic, collaborative team focused on driving network performance, innovation, and meaningful improvements in connectivity and public safety.
