Radio Systems Engineer

Salary

£55,000 per year

• 2 years experience in military or commercial radio communication
• Experience in RF propagation
• Strong IT skills, specifically in database management, networking topologies, TCP/IP, and DMR/PMR software applications
• Current or previously held SC (security clearance)
• Experience in fault finding across multiple telecommunication platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Skills in RF fault diagnostics
• Broader technical skills in the design of bespoke solutions
• Familiarity with PMR programming software for Tait, Simoco, Motorola, Kenwood, and Hytera

• Work within the dedicated engineering team to provide bespoke technical solutions for customers and SMEs in Radio Engineering
• Design and build bespoke technical solutions in line with customer requirements
• Provide technical assurance to customers
• Prepare CODEPLUGS and FLEET Plans for customer specifications
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications equipment from various vendors such as Hytera, Motorola, Tait, Simoco, and Kenwood
• Manage site maintenance and servicing, including fault management, log analysis, and defect debugging
• Support business by analyzing customer needs and presenting new products
• Offer technical support for communication systems in major contracts
