Grid Delivery Manager, AWS , (To be based in London, Dublin, Madrid or Frankfurt)
THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING AWS OFFICE LOCATIONS: LONDON, FRANKFURT, MADRID OR DUBLIN
The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is seeking a results‑orientated individual to join in the role of Grid Delivery Manager. In this role you will be responsible for delivering large‑scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have high‑level technical understanding of critical HV/MV infrastructure projects including substations, cables and overhead lines, with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in delivering HV & MV infrastructure projects/programs from design to energization.
The candidate will need to possess strong communication skills, and ability to deliver with diverse teams such as design engineering, construction, planning, environmental and real estate teams, to ensure delivery to tight timelines. Stakeholder management and weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management, director and vice‑president level will be the candidate’s responsibility. The candidate will drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery execution and support financial budgeting.

- Drive and standardize processes, develop tools for delivery execution, and support financial budgeting.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in delivering HV & MV infrastructure projects/programs from design to energization.
- Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment.
- Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Experience in building power substations working with utilities and understanding their environment and culture.
- Experience in analyzing cost/benefit trade‑offs across a strategic portfolio, and demonstrated understanding of how to successfully transact business in multiple cultural contexts; experience directly managing international teams is a plus.
- Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in French, Spanish, German or Italian.
- Master’s Degree (MBA/MS) and/or PMP Certification preferred.
- Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure.
- Experience working for utilities and with or for energy regulators.
