Senior Environmental Consultant

Job Description:

• Assist with the coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and consenting projects and related deliverables.
• Collaborate with technical specialists on a broad range of projects.
• Coordinate and deliver environmental work within multidisciplinary teams (EIA, options appraisals, environmental management, consenting).
• Collate and edit information from various sources to produce clear, well‑written reports.
• Perform work to an excellent standard on time and within budget.
• Support senior management with bid preparation and project management to deliver projects on‑time, on‑budget and to quality and client expectations.
• Support line managers and team leaders in mentoring junior staff.

• Degree or Masters in environmental or equivalent science subject.
• Chartered or working toward chartership with a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA, IES).
• Experience working on EIA and consenting projects across any sector.
• Good knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical specialists.
• Strong report writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability, willingness to work from other AtkinsRéalis or client office locations if required.
• Highly self‑motivated with strong enthusiasm and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes.
