, we seek a MEP Technical (Mechanical) Manager to support our MEP Unbundled strategy. This approach will reduce our reliance on the external market supply, aiming to ensure better quality, safety, and control over project timelines.
You will provide overall design & engineering leadership/management for the business region(s), with responsibility for the delivery of design information for projects ranging from £5M to £130M, from prequalification to completion with an emphasis on work winning and preconstruction. You will build and lead effective relationships with MEP designers & BIM Coordinators to maximise value/opportunity and mitigate risk.
You will be based in London and support design aspects of projects in London and the South East—including a hospital project in Jersey (remote). Projects cover Healthcare, Residential Regeneration, Schools and Data Centres.
Skills Profile- Substantial experience collaborating with a main contractor or large subcontractor
- Degrees in Mechanical subject are preferable but experience is also considered
- Proven depth of technical knowledge of Mechanical MEP Services
- Proven people management experience, including mentoring and developing teams
- Analytical and initiative‑taking with strong organisational ability to meet deadlines
- Client‑driven with effective communication skills
- Advocate for Health and Safety
- Commercially astute
- Member of the MEP Unbundled Strategy Core Team, contributing to strategic planning and business decisions
- Ownership of key customer/consultant relationships, ensuring positive outcomes where possible
- Ownership & implementation of key activities & accountabilities for Self and Engineering Management Team
