The Role

We’re seeking a specialist engineering recruiter to lead engineering hiring at Omnea – not a generalist talent lead. We want someone who has deeply immersed themselves in engineering recruitment, understands the London market inside and out, and has played a key role in scaling an engineering team from 20 to 100+ engineers.

You’ll work directly with engineering leadership, enjoying full autonomy over the hiring process. You’ll own sourcing, pipeline management, the hiring process, and the candidate experience from start to finish.

This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility role. Every hire you make will directly influence the company’s trajectory.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead end‑to‑end engineering hiring across Omnea’s 10 engineering teams
  • Source, engage, and recruit Senior product engineers in London’s highly competitive market
  • Build and maintain a warm pipeline of passive candidates—the best engineers are rarely on the market
  • Shape and champion the engineering EVP
  • Partner with engineering leadership to define and uphold a high hiring standard, even as we grow quickly
  • Design and refine the hiring process to reduce time‑to‑hire without compromising on quality
  • Think creatively about Omnea’s presence to candidates, including brand, content, community, and events
  • Own your pipeline metrics and know your numbers
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years in an engineering‑focused agency
  • 2+ years in‑house at a respected, fast‑paced London tech startup dedicated to engineering hiring
  • Experience scaling an engineering team from around 20 to over 100 engineers
  • At least 5 years of engineering hiring experience in total
  • Deep knowledge of London’s competitive engineering market
  • A track record of hiring to a very high standard—think Monzo, Attio, incident.io, Post Hog, Paddle level
  • Active contributions to an engineering EVP
  • Ability to have informed, credible conversations with Senior and Staff‑level product engineers about why Omnea is worth their time
This role isn’t for you if:
  • You’ve only hired engineers as part of a generalist remit
  • You haven’t worked in‑house at a high‑standard London tech startup
  • You require extensive process infrastructure to operate effectively
