Overview

Safran is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for its Pitstone site in Bucks. The role focuses on driving strategic continuous improvement initiatives across aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul operations, improving turnaround time, yield, on‑time delivery, cost performance and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Your Role

As a senior technical expert within Manufacturing Engineering, you will work collaboratively with teams in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering to implement innovative technologies, optimise manufacturing and repair processes, introduce best‑practice methodologies and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering or related discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement within a complex engineering environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Part 145
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operations
  • Experience deploying APQP standards and quality tools
  • Knowledge of CAD, CAM and process simulation tools
