Associate Civil Engineer – Building Drainage Lead
London / Hybrid
Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Civil Engineer with a strong background in building drainage and development infrastructure to lead the delivery of drainage design across a wide range of complex development projects.
This is a senior role combining technical leadership, client engagement and team development. You'll take ownership of drainage strategy from feasibility through to construction, helping unlock planning approvals and delivering practical, sustainable solutions for high-profile schemes.
The RoleYou’ll lead the design of foul and surface water drainage systems, including complex basement drainage, SuDS and attenuation strategies, while acting as the technical lead for Micro Drainage and Info Drainage modelling. Working closely with architects, developers and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll provide expert advice on drainage, flood risk and site constraints, ensuring high-quality, compliant designs throughout every stage of a project.
Alongside project delivery, you’ll mentor engineers, maintain technical standards and play an important role in the continued growth of the civil engineering team.
About YouYou’ll have significant UK experience in building drainage and development infrastructure, with a proven ability to lead drainage design from concept through to delivery. You’ll be confident using Micro Drainage and/or Info Drainage, have a strong understanding of UK planning and drainage approvals, and enjoy building lasting client relationships while supporting the development of others.
