Senior Geotechnical​/GeoEnvironmental Engineer

Location:

North London. Region: UK-London. Salary / Rate: £ negotiable, pension, fees and other benefits.

• Conduct site investigations and contaminated land assessments.
• Supervise more junior engineers.
• Work both site-based and office-based.
• Handle specification, operation and interpretation of geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations.
• Travel around London and South East as required.

My client is an established firm of engineering consultants working on a wide range of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental projects alongside other consulting firms. They have a number of UK offices and provide strong support and training to suitably qualified and ambitious engineers.

• Appropriate Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Environmental Science or similar.
• Optional MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Environmental Science on top of a degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• At least 7 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience in geotechnical site investigation and contaminated land assessments.
• Good knowledge of soil mechanics; comfortable providing foundation recommendations, soil / groundwater / ground gas risk assessments.
• Experience supervising and undertaking trial pits, boreholes and other field techniques.
• Previous line management experience preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.
