Civil Pipeline Engineer

We are seeking an energetic, experienced Civil Pipeline Engineer to join a world-class design and advanced technology consultancy. This 12-month contract is a fantastic opportunity to deliver cutting-edge, transformational projects for the UK Water and Utilities market.

If you are a Chartered or highly experienced engineer with deep expertise in pipeline design, rehabilitation, and advanced analysis tools, we want to hear from you.

Location: National (Priority hubs: Epsom, London, Peterborough, or Cambridge)

Work Pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week office/site based)

• Technical Design Leadership:
  Coordinating and managing a dedicated team of pipeline engineers to deliver high-quality, complex multi-disciplinary designs.
• Full Asset Lifecycle:
  Taking responsibility for producing and reviewing design reports, structural/hydraulic calculations, engineering drawings, and scopes of work.
• End-to-End Solutions:
  Providing technical input into pipeline construction, asset rehabilitation, condition assessments, commissioning, and operational strategies.
• Mentorship & Quality:
  Guiding junior team members, expanding local engineering capabilities, and enforcing rigorous quality assurance design checks.

• Consultancy
  
  Experience:
  
  Proven background leading a pipeline engineering design delivery team within a consultancy or multi-disciplinary infrastructure environment.
• Technical Specialism:
  Strong, practical knowledge of pipeline design, condition assessment, and rehabilitation, alongside a solid grasp of CDM Regulations.
• Software Proficiency:
  Hands‑on experience utilizing industry-standard digital analysis packages (e.g., HADES, Varisim, or similar transient/hydraulic tools).
• Qualifications:
  
  A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status is preferred.
