Applications Engineer in Automotive Electronics

Overview

Electronic Technician required to join an Applications Engineering team who adapt existing instrumentation devices to specific customer needs. You will work across the complete product life cycle from conception, specification, user acceptance testing and high level pre- and post-sales support.

• Adapt existing instrumentation devices to meet customer requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate across the complete product life cycle from conception to user acceptance testing and post-sales support.
• Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning at customer sites as needed.

• Electronics or related degree (e.g., Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, etc.).
• Practical PCB build, soldering, crimping, and related assembly skills.
• Diagnostics and fault finding with oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
• Strong communication skills; ability to work with external stakeholders.
• Interest in aviation, automotive or space industries.
• RF signal and GNSS knowledge.

To succeed in the role, you will have a strong engineering foundation, project management skills, electronics knowledge, and the ability to understand and adapt existing products to customer requirements.
