A leading global organisation in the industrial gases and engineering sector is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support operations across key international sites. This role is UK-based (Chertsey), with frequent business travel to Uzbekistan, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically challenging, operational support role.

What you’ll be doing :

• Provide expert-level support for electrical systems across operational sites, with a focus on reliability, troubleshooting, and compliance.
• Lead on high-voltage systems, protection relays, large motors (induction & synchronous), VFDs, PLCs (WAGO), IEC-61850, UPSs, and inverters.
• Offer remote and on-site technical assistance for maintenance, commissioning, and safe operation of electrical systems.
• Liaise with global engineering teams to drive standards, support RCA investigations, and continuously improve plant reliability.
• Support the implementation of local electrical safety procedures, and ensure compliance with both company and regulatory standards (e.g. IEC, GOST, ATEX).

What we’re looking for:

• A degree-qualified electrical engineer, ideally chartered or working towards it.
• 15+ years’ experience in industrial operations, preferably in process industries (e.g., gases, petrochemical, oil & gas, or chemicals).
• Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV equipment, motors, switch gear, condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance methods.
• Comfortable working across cultures and countries, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and a solid understanding of reliability engineering.
• Language skills in Uzbek and/or Russian are a bonus.
