Overview
Maintenance Manager – Gin.
Location:
Kennington, London, with travel to Plymouth and other sites as required.

Whatyou will do
- Engineering Leadership & Maintenance Excellence: support, coach and develop engineering teams across gin distilleries; foster safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence; implement and maintain Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Asset Management Systems; promote industry-leading maintenance standards; identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, availability and operational effectiveness; encourage knowledge sharing and capability development.
- Operational Engineering Support: coordinate corrective maintenance, repairs, overhauls, equipment modifications and replacement programmes; maintain technical documentation, drawings and records; deliver annual distillery shutdowns safely, efficiently and on time; align engineering resources with production priorities; provide technical guidance to resolve engineering challenges.
- Safety, Compliance & Governance: maintain engineering legal compliance and site standards; ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety, Site Security and environmental requirements are met; issue and manage Work Authorities and Permits to Work; support engineering change management with proper documentation and handover; promote safe working practices and continuous safety improvement.
- Project & Budget Management: prepare and manage engineering revenue and capital expenditure budgets; manage expenditure against budgets; deliver capital projects (£1m–£5m) in compliance with CDM and company standards; build relationships with internal teams, contractors and service providers; identify opportunities to enhance operational performance and asset sustainability.
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience, or a combination of relevant qualifications and experience.
- Experience leading, coaching or managing engineering teams in a process industry environment.
- Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, asset management and reliability-centred maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage projects and budgets, with a track record of delivering capital programmes on time and within scope.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
