Senior Process Engineer; Direct Air Capture

We operate with minimal process and bureaucracy, only what is essential to ensure our systems are safe, legally compliant, and deployed on time; everything else is up to you.

The role encompasses the full development cycle, but can be tailored to the specialist skillset of the applicant. We need you to:

• Ideate novel architectures and system integrations for a solid phase, cyclic lime-based DAC process
• Run bench‑scale testing and analysis of calcination, hydration, carbonation and sorbent cyclic stability
• Own detailed design and optimisation of unit operations across the full CaCO3 → CaO → Ca(OH)2 → CaCO3 loop
• Tightly integrate the DAC module with our methanation and electrolysis units
• Design intelligent, inherently safe, high‑temperature, steam‑rich, solids‑handling systems
• Specification and procurement of equipment
• Own the assembly, integration, site commissioning and testing of our system

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience designing and building plants with solid‑handling.
• Experience with high‑temperature processes such as calcination, pyrolysis, reforming, roasting or thermal treatment.
• Experience working with powders/granular materials.

• HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA leadership experience
• CAD experience
• Chartered Engineering Status

• £70-100k salary depending on experience
