This is a unique chance to work on some of Europe’s most innovative data centre projects, supporting the delivery of complex mechanical and electrical systems that underpin mission‑critical operations.

You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating MEP design, installation, testing and commissioning, ensuring quality, safety and performance standards are achieved throughout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all MEP activities on‑site.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of MEP packages.
  • Review technical designs, method statements and submittals to ensure compliance with client specifications and data centre standards.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and drive issue resolution to maintain schedule and cost performance.
  • Oversee installation quality and ensure robust testing, commissioning and handover processes.
  • Act as the main MEP point of contact with the client, project management team and key stakeholders.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to MiCiM and local HSE requirements.
About You
  • Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with hands‑on experience in large‑scale MEP delivery.
  • Proven track record as an MEP Lead or Senior MEP Manager on data centres, high‑tech, pharmaceutical or other mission‑critical projects.
  • Excellent understanding of cooling technologies and mechanical systems typical of hyperscale or colocation data centres.
  • Able to manage complex interfaces between trades and drive performance in fast‑paced environments.
  • Strong communicator with the confidence to lead meetings, engage stakeholders and represent MiCiM professionally.
  • Willingness to work on‑site across Europe; previous international project experience is an advantage.
Why MiCiM?
  • Competitive compensation: £130,000–£150,000, with performance‑based bonuses.
  • Enhanced annual leave:
Additional annual leave plus a Christmas shutdown.
  • Career growth:
Robust development opportunities, including mentorship, training and progression within the company.

  • Energy efficiency and sustainability:
Work on projects that are often at the forefront of engineering excellence in energy efficiency and sustainability.

  • Women in construction:
MiCiM is a proud co‑founding member of FWD – Forum for Women in Data Centres, and provides enhanced pregnancy, maternity, return‑to‑work and menopause benefits for employees.
  • Enhanced family leave policies:
Enhanced maternity and paternity leave to support employees during important life events.
  • Volunteering leave:
Paid leave each year for volunteering activities of your choice.
  • Comprehensive training programmes:
Structured training to support career progression, including opportunities for chartership and professional memberships.
  • Networks and committees:
Multiple opportunities to get involved with MiCiM networks and committees, should you wish.
