About the opportunity

At Jacobs, we solve critical problems for cities, environments, and infrastructure. As a Senior Engineer on our Bridges & Structures team, you’ll shape resilient, sustainable structures and drive value across highways, rail, aviation, energy, and power sectors.

You’ll apply technical expertise and leadership to guide multidisciplinary teams from feasibility to detailed design, produce high‑quality technical and contract documentation, and collaborate with UK and Global delivery teams to optimise resources. Your focus on sustainability and decarbonisation will help clients make smarter, lower‑carbon decisions.

Lead and mentor teams, steer innovative structural solutions, manage project deliverables, coordinate with cross‑disciplinary partners, champion diverse thinking, and continuously improve design and delivery processes for complex transportation schemes.

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
• Chartership (or close to achieving)
• Project management skills related to bridge design or other disciplines
• Strong technical design and practical problem‑solving skills
• Experience in asset management, structural renewals, or post‑tensioned structures (including PTSI)
