This permanent Highway Engineer role based in Central London offers a salary between £40,000 and £50,000. The position sits within an employee‑owned consultancy expanding its Civil Infrastructure team. You will deliver highway and junction improvements, active travel initiatives, and public realm developments across the UK. The role requires around three years' UK experience and a desire to advance towards Senior Engineer.

You will apply your technical skills within a collaborative team, working on high‑profile schemes. This position provides a pathway to broaden your expertise while contributing to significant infrastructure projects. • Highway and junction improvement schemes.
• Active travel and public realm projects.
• Development infrastructure.
• Section 278 and Section 38 highway design.
• Drainage coordination and infrastructure design.
• Projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
• Close collaboration with local authorities, developers and multidisciplinary design teams.

• Around 3+ years of UK experience in highways or civil infrastructure design.
• Experience producing highway designs using AutoCAD, with Civil 3D experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of Section 278, Section 38, DMRB, Manual for Streets and UK highway design standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• A desire to work towards ICE Chartership if not already progressing.
