5G RAN Optimisation Engineer - Network Optimisation - RAN technologies

Marshall Wolfe are hiring on behalf of our client, who are a leading telecoms organisation. They are seeking an experienced 5G RAN Optimisation Specialist to join a high-performing Network Performance & Optimisation team supporting a critical Public Safety Network programme.

This is a specialist role focused on 5G/5G+ performance optimisation, root cause analysis, and end-to-end network investigations across complex mobile network environments. You'll work closely with internal SMEs, vendors, and stakeholders to improve network performance, customer experience, and service reliability.

This is a 12 month contract, which can be based in London or Bristol

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse UE logs, drive test data, Wireshark traces, OSS trends and protocol logs to identify performance issues.
• Perform 4G/5G/5G+ parameter and feature optimisation activities across Nokia and Ericsson networks.
• Conduct end-to-end investigations covering 5G SA, NSA, VoNR and network interworking scenarios.
• Lead root cause analysis of network degradations and define optimisation plans to improve KPIs.
• Validate network designs and assess performance impacts of new features and configurations.
