About the Role
If you are a Senior Instrument Technician ready to step up into real ownership of maintenance, safety, and team performance, this is an operational site offering genuine responsibility. You will be supporting a well-established organization in the energy sector and will take charge of day-to-day maintenance delivery, team leadership, and plant reliability on a live site.
About the Site
This is a major site within the energy security infrastructure, operating at a high tempo year-round. The plant follows a seasonal cycle: building up capacity in the quieter months and running at peak output during winter demand. The site performs well, handling a live pipeline of maintenance, shutdown, and improvement projects to maintain output. Ongoing investment in the plant's future means increasing demands on the maintenance and engineering teams as the operation scales.

Key Responsibilities
Leading and supervising a team of technicians and contractors
Driving maintenance performance, safety, and compliance standards
Managing day-to-day maintenance activities, shutdowns, and planning
Working across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
Using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to plan, prioritize, and track work
Supporting plant improvements and reliability initiatives
Ensuring all work meets regulatory and safety requirements
Supporting reporting, scheduling, and resource planning
Requirements
Background in instrumentation or electrical at NVQ/apprenticeship level
Experience in a supervisory or lead technician role
Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and control & instrumentation systems
Experience in energy, process, or industrial environments
Understanding of ATEX/DSEAR and hazardous area requirements

Experience with shutdowns, maintenance planning, and CMMS systems
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
