Evolve Partners is supporting a leading engineering contractor with the appointment of an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer for a major mission-critical project in London.

This is a strong opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to develop within a technically demanding project environment and gain exposure to the full delivery lifecycle, from installation and coordination through to commissioning and handover.

The Role

Working as part of the site-based project team, you will support the delivery of mechanical services across a complex, high-value project.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the delivery of mechanical packages from installation through to commissioning.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and subcontractor information.
  • Raising and managing RFIs and technical queries.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress against programme.
  • Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works meet project standards.
  • Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting progress to senior team members.
  • Working closely with electrical, design, commercial and construction teams.
About You

We are keen to speak with Mechanical Engineers who have experience within building services and project delivery, ideally gained with an M&E contractor, specialist subcontractor or principal contractor.

You should have:
  • Experience delivering mechanical services on complex construction projects.
  • A good understanding of mechanical installation and coordination.
  • Experience working with subcontractors and site teams.
  • Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A desire to progress within a well-established engineering contractor.

Previous experience on data centres, pharmaceutical, healthcare or other mission-critical projects would be advantageous, but is not essential.

What’s on Offer
  • Opportunity to work on a major mission-critical project.
  • Long-term career development with an established engineering contractor.
  • Exposure to technically complex mechanical systems.
  • Support from an experienced project team.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

Full details of the client and project will be shared with suitable candidates during the recruitment process.
